Welcome Parents and Community to the Home of the Cougars!

My name is Esperanza Arce and it is an honor and privilege to be the principal of Vista Verde Middle School.  I am married to a wonderful man, Frank Arce, and we have four amazing children; three in high school and one in middle school.  Education is very important to me and my family; it keeps us learning new things every day.  I began my post-secondary education right after high school and four years later I obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from the University of California, Riverside.  Shortly after, I pursued and obtained a teaching credential and Masters of Arts from Chapman University.  Presently, I am completing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Redlands.   I began my professional educational endeavor in the fall of 2002 as an ELD and Spanish teacher at RVHS.  After several years, I assisted in the inauguration of Citrus Hill High School as an ELD teacher, department chair, and EL Facilitator.  In the fall of 2010 I became an EL Coordinator in San Bernardino City Unified School District and left the Val Verde family.  However, I returned to Val Verde in the fall of 2011 as an assistant principal at Citrus Hill High.  In the winter of 2013 I became the interim principal of Vista Verde Middle School where later that year, I officially became the Principal of the Cougars!   I wholeheartedly believe that all students have a right to quality and equitable education and know that we will do everything we can to provide them with one at VVMS.  We will work hard to help develop Visionary InnoVators through Academic Excellence through our STEAM programs and instruction.  Go COUGARS!!!
